A dead man is discovered at the foot of a lighthouse, another man vanishes without a trace in Falkenberg, and at Glommen marina, a boat owner makes a horrifying discovery aboard his sailboat.

Detective Inspector Kajsa Rudolfsson and her team at the Falkenberg police find themselves swamped with cases. At the same time, they're all juggling personal relationships, and amid the chaos, a seemingly random encounter awakens memories that should have stayed buried—memories that threaten to have devastating consequences for everyone involved.

Rueful Revenge is the second installment in the series about Kajsa Rudolfsson and her colleagues in the idyllic summer town of Falkenberg.
