Two murders. One small-town police force. And for DI Kajsa Rudolfsson, it’s personal. An elderly man is found dead beside the outdoor stage at Vallarna in the heart of Falkenberg. Days later, a young woman’s body washes up on the beach at Glommen, a small fishing village along the Halland coast. The crimes appear unconnected—until unsettling links begin to surface. For Kajsa, the case is already fraught: the first victim is her best friend’s father. And when her closest colleague suffers a stroke mid-investigation, the overstretched team is pushed to breaking point. As long-hidden secrets emerge, can Kajsa solve both murders before the killer strikes again? Bitterly Betrayed launches the atmospheric Falkenberg Murders series.
